A dock lift (also written docklift orloading dock lift) is a hydraulic scissor platform installed at a loading bay to bridge the height difference between the yard and a truck bed. GP LIFT builds dock lifts on the same SJG scissor structure as our goods lifts, with capacity from 1 to 4 tons standard (5 tons custom) and travel from 1.2 m to 3 m.

Standard method: dig a foundation pit matching the closed height of the lift so the platform sits flush with the floor for easy loading and unloading. Reserve drainage channels inside the pit.

Which load capacity and platform size should I choose for a dock lift?

Standard dock lifts range from 1000 kg to 4000 kg with platform sizes built to order. Size the capacity from the heaviest pallet plus the forklift or pallet truck that drives onto the platform, and allow 200-300 mm clearance around the platform for safe loading.
